"Property management" with house and dollar signs and hands shaking

“I like being in an environment where you can get to know the people, get to know the community.  I like the smaller town environment.”

Andrew Schwartz co-founded Clockwork Properties in 2020 following several years of working in home repair and investing in properties. The Indian Trail-based company offers full-service property management focused on single-family rental houses that range from $1,200 a month to $12,000 a month.

About Clockwork Properties

“I was investing in rental properties with a partner, and enjoying the process of finding properties, finding good tenants, and managing the properties. I always felt like I had the knack for business, and wanted to work for myself, so we opened our own property management company.”

Clockwork Properties tested managing properties on the rentals they owned before offering their services to the public just a few months before the pandemic.

“For a couple of weeks early in COVID, nobody knew what was going to happen. So we did have a pause for a few weeks, but then real estate got right back to speed. We grew steadily through COVID, and now we have more than 70 single-family houses that we manage in Union County and the greater Charlotte area.”

What Clients Can Expect

Andrew prides himself on helping local property owners find success with their rentals.

“If you’re reading the news or listening to the media, you’ll hear about rental properties that are owned by huge investment firms and hedge funds. But most rental properties are owned by normal everyday people like you and me. I want to be able to have a personal relationship with my clients. I don’t have a desire to run a business where I’m working for investment firms. Our ideal client is the kind of person who wants to work with a real person and receive personal service.”

Along with that personal touch, being part of the local community is important to Andrew and his team.

“There are companies that are essentially the Amazon of property management where you get a digital service.  With those, you don’t know the vendors they are using, whereas I know our local vendors personally.”

What Celebrity Spokesperson Would You Choose for Clockwork Properties?

“Even if I had the opportunity, I would hesitate to hire a celebrity spokesperson. Knowing they are getting paid to say what they’re saying seems disingenuous. Our clients are by far the best spokespeople, and I would rather have someone who genuinely trusts us speak for us.”
