The Annual Gala, the largest event of the year, is held the first Thursday in December. During this celebratory event, the Chamber recognizes members who have volunteered throughout the year and presents its annual Excellence in Business Awards. The evening includes lots of networking, meet-and-greet reception, and dinner for an average attendance of 550+ Chamber members and guests.

Chamber members with new facilities, new ownership, major expansions, or breaking ground on a property receive the royal treatment from Chamber Ambassadors, Board Members and staff as the ceremonial “cutting of the ribbon” or “turning of the dirt” takes place. These events provide free promotion, great photo opportunities, and are included in the Chamber’s e-Calendar and social media sites.
Quarterly breakfast events feature speakers who present information targeted to small business owners. In celebration of National Small Business Week, the Chamber hosts an exclusive invitation-only breakfast to celebrate the contributions of small businesses to our community.
This annual event is hosted to connect residents with Chamber-member businesses and to increase awareness of the many services and products available in Union County. Chamber members set up booths, share business information, and meet and greet attendees and fellow Chamber members.
Each year, Union County manufacturers and other businesses are recognized by the North Carolina Department of Labor for their stellar work in maintaining safe work environments. The NC Commissioner of Labor and staff attend the event and present the awards at this annual luncheon event. This popular event typically attracts 150+ attendees, including executives, plant managers, safety managers, and human resource managers from across Union County.
