Chamber Program Descriptions

The Union County Chamber meets the common needs of all businesses while also understanding different business sectors have specific and diverse needs.  Our programs are designed to meet the needs of our business members where they are.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors are fellow Chamber members who volunteer to act as peer mentors for new members and assist them in navigating the Chamber’s many program and event offerings.
Ambassadors are selected through an annual application process. All representatives who work for a business in good standing that has been a member for at least one year and who have been in their current position for at least one year are eligible to apply.

Environmental Health & Safety Roundtable (EHS)

This program is designed to offer EHS professionals the opportunity to network, benchmark, and share best practices among its members.  In addition, this group hosts a quarterly breakfast event to promote safety in the workplace throughout the county. Roundtable members are selected through an application process.

Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leaders Program equips future influential decision-makers in Union County with comprehensive professional and personal skills, engaged civic knowledge, and active community service. Leadership Team Members are selected through an application process.

Leadership Union

This ten-month leadership development program is intended to ignite and develop community leaders.  The program offers participants the opportunity to meet community and civic leaders, explore key issues impacting our region, and establish quality business contacts.

Make It in Union County 

The purpose of this manufacturing awareness program is to bring attention to the high-paying career opportunities in manufacturing and the positive impact of having a strong manufacturing base in our community. Make It in Union County includes a week of activities connecting local students, parents, educators, and the community with manufacturers.

Manufacturers Executive Roundtable

This invitation-only program is designed to offer manufacturing leaders the opportunity to network, benchmark, share best practices, and promote ethical business practices among its members.

Public Policy 

This program is designed to create a business-friendly environment in our community through advocacy, education, and leadership. The Chamber convenes community leaders and influencers, business leaders, and community stakeholders to provide a series of forums for relevant discussions about policies impacting business.

Shop Union County

Shop Union County is a Chamber initiative to raise the awareness of Union County residents about the importance of shopping locally whenever possible.  Supporting local merchants and keeping sales tax dollars in our county are very important to our community.

Small Business Program

The foundation of any thriving community is a successful small business community. This program offers education, networking, and promotion for our small business members at quarterly events as well as support and recognition as part of our Shop Union County Initiative and National Small Business Week. The Small Business Program also supports the Small Business Roundtable, a group of Small Business owners who meet monthly. Members for the Small Business Roundtable are selected by an application process.

Women in Business

This program is designed to offer a welcoming environment for women executives to cultivate relationships and build their networks as well as offers professional development opportunities. This dynamic program includes an annual professional development event, quarterly lunchtime events, and socials focused on meeting the needs of our women members. Steering Committee members are selected through an application process.

Workforce Development Task Force

The Workforce Development Task Force, a program of the Union County Chamber, has a mission to convene business, educational institutions, and workforce development organizations to attract, develop, and retain our community’s most important asset – our people.  Our goal is to meet the talent needs of business and industry now and in the years to come. Task force members are selected through an application process.
