What could you accomplish if you were able to shut out internal and external distractions and focus on what’s right in front of you?

You’re never going to be free of a multitude of demands battling for your time, attention, and energy. The opportunities for distraction and demands that require multi-tasking seemingly grow exponentially each year.

You’re missing out on critical moments in the present

as you put all of your energy into the past or what’s to come.

You are not alone. We’ve heard from women across the
community sharing how distracted, worried, and stressed they are. It can feel like we’ve lost our ability to focus and be present altogether.

While times are distracting, and we all continue to deal
with the trauma and fallout of the pandemic, you are resilient and strong. You have all you need within yourself to be engaged, focused, and fierce.

Join YOUR Chamber’s Women in Business at the 2023
Professional Development Conference.

We’re learning how to harness the power of
focus and mindfulness to build a successful future.

We will have 2 powerful presentations on Focus and Mindfulness to help you make NOW the primary focus of your life. Each session will be followed by breakout groups where you can discuss the lessons learned and put a plan in place to help you be more focused and engaged in all areas of your life.

Focus: Strategies to Minimize Distractions and Build Attention

Have you found it difficult to focus lately? Are distractions getting the best of you at work and in your personal life?

Attention is not a given.  We must attend (pun intended) to our attention in order to build better focus.

In our first session, Dr. Vicki Parker, founder of the Brain Trainer, will share a presentation on helping you build attention skills.

She will share techniques that you can try to help you sustain focus and work through distractions.

Mindfulness: Be Present and Engaged

Are you struggling to stay in the present? Does the concept of mindfulness sound foreign to you?

The business of life can take the best of us out of the present, and put us in auto pilot. That can leave us unengaged with those around us.

In our second session, Meghan Helms with Inner Spirit Healing will share:

  • »  4 types of distraction
  • »  How to deal with stressors that keep you from being present
  • »  Strategies to stay on track
  • » And more!
